Working with Mathews Development in 2015, our team set out to site, program and design this sustainable, low-impact, four-star rural retreat. The property, located near the popularly traveled Route 151 in Nelson County, was selected for its spectacular views, accessibility and proximity to outdoor recreational opportunities and the vision began to take root. Vernacular barn-like structures accommodate private suites near the main inn that includes meeting/conference space.  Additionally, a full-service restaurant, farm shop and spa all take advantage of Rockfish valley views. Warm-season grass meadows offer habitat to migrating Monarch Butterflies and trails provide visitors access to the woodlands, pond, and orchards.
